Aurelian by BNB Portfolio
For tech and equity comp
RSUs vest as W-2 income. A big vest year can push you into the top bracket, and withholding often falls short.
Why it fits
- RSUs are wagesVested shares are W-2 income, so the loss can offset them up to the yearly cap ($256,000 single or $512,000 married for 2026).
- Withholding gapsVests are often withheld at a flat 22% up to $1M of supplemental pay, below a 35% or 37% bracket. The gap shows up in April.
- Gains sit inside the capGains when you sell the shares are investment income. The loss offsets them too, within the same cap.
Two rules either way: an average guest stay of 7 days or less, and you run it. That means 100+ hours a year and more than anyone else, cleaners included.
